As part of the “Support to the Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Sectors in the Fight against Covid-19” project, funded by the Federal Government of Germany and spearheaded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Algeria, a meeting took place yesterday, on June 8th, 2023, at the headquarters of the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products (ANPP). The meeting was attended by:
-Mrs. Elisabeth WOLBERS, German Ambassador,
– Mrs. Blerta ALIKO, UNDP Resident Representative in Algeria;
– Mr. Cherif DELIH, General Manager of the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products and National Project Director;
-Mrs. ADDA ABOU Leila, Representative of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production Minister;
– Representatives of UNDP Algeria;
– The National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products representatives
On this occasion, Mr. Cherif Delih, the General Manager of the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products, delivered a presentation outlining the progress, timelines, and primary objectives of the project. He particularly emphasized the enhancement of the agency’s material capacities in regulating Pharmaceutical Products and Medical Devices.
Following this, the floor was given to Her Excellency the Ambassador of Germany to Algeria, who highlighted the significance of this project in enhancing the health and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as in strengthening cooperative relations between the the two countries.
As for the representative resident of UNDP in Algeria, she expressed her team’s commitment to exerting all necessary efforts for the successful implementation of this project. They aim to equip themselves with the best practices and skills to ensure its realization.
