Second stop of the visit: the regional annex of the National Agency of Pharmaceutical Products.

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Dr Wassim Kouidri, inaugurated today the regional branch of the National Agency of Pharmaceutical Products in Constantine, named in honor of the late Professor Yahia Guidoum.

The Minister also inspected the various units and laboratories of the regional agency, which provides services to operators across 16 provinces in the eastern and southeastern regions of the country. This initiative aims to bring services closer to stakeholders and ensure speed and accuracy in the quality control of pharmaceutical products.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Agency of Pharmaceutical Products and the public group Saidal Group. The agreement seeks to coordinate efforts and jointly leverage capacities, expertise, and material and human resources to advance scientific research and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.
This development follows the strengthening of the regional agency through the establishment of a pharmacology and toxicology laboratory, using animal models for the control of injectable medicines, biotechnological products, and vaccines.
